Nature Inspires Beauty

5:41 AM

A florist for 10 years and milliner for 15, Katie Burley creates one-of-a-kind delicate, beautiful headpieces that are a nod to the past. Silks, lace, new and vintage fabric flowers, Swarovski crystals, Czech glass beads, fresh water pearls and other semi-precious stones make up these works of art. Whether atop the heads of brides or party-goers, they're sure to make their wearers the belles of the ball.

Katie draws inspiration from her studio's landscape in the Baltimore/DC metro area. It overlooks five acres of meadow and woods, and a weeping willow tree. Nature's backyard...it doesn't get any better than that to get the ol' juices flowing.

Find these headpieces on Etsy and at Urban Outfitters.
